At OMA, we believe that growing older is a privilege, and that for anyone who has lived seven, eight, or nine decades, what lies ahead should be a celebration and that is OMA, a Fulfilled Community where we celebrate every day the joy and the opportunity of another day filled with happiness, well-being, and gratitude.

1. Community matters more than the room.

A beautiful room doesn’t save anyone from loneliness. And loneliness is what takes the greatest toll on older adults — more than illness, more than immobility, more than medication.

That’s why OMA has a capacity of only 20 residents. Beyond that number, a home ceases to be a community.

¿Why was OMA founded? Today in Mexico, a person who reaches the age of 70 can live with clarity, purpose, and joy. The key is to be treated with dignity and in a way that aligns with their own life plan. In most retirement homes, age is treated as a mere formality; a room, a bed, meals, supervision.

2. A purposeful routine is medicine.

Daily physical activity, regular cognitive stimulation, and everyday conversation have a greater impact on older adults’ quality of life than many medications. This isn’t an opinion. It’s evidence.

That’s why we follow a daily schedule, rather than offering activities for when “someone feels like it».

OMA,OMA, senior living residence in San Jerónimo, Mexico City, is a different concept. It is designed as a small community where each resident enjoys a structured daily routine that includes conversation, exercise, cognitive stimulation, and daily activities.

3. Family is still family.

No one can replace a daughter, a son, or a sibling. OMA doesn’t pretend to take that place. It complements it.

That’s why we stay in constant contact with each family via WhatsApp; visiting hours are flexible, and we celebrate birthdays and special occasions with you.

We are not just another home. We’re a small community — only 20 residents — where everyone knows each other by name, knows each other’s stories, and is familiar with each other’s quirks. This is what we call a Fulfilled Community.

Because the light that our seniors carry within them deserves to shine in community, with respect, affection, and joy. We treat each person as we would like to be treated: with the certainty that there are still dreams to fulfill and wisdom to share. Here, we always talk about possibilities, never limitations.
